Humans are often referred to as "good" or "bad". This simple labelling belies the enormous complexity of each of us.
Human Character Each person's character is made up of a wonderfully complex interaction of basic instinct/emotion and intelligence. In any given situation, our actions are driven by an intense combination of our character, our experiences, our learned influences and our perspectives.
Human Characteristics Each of us has an almost infinite set of characteristics. Some of us are slightly more brave than other, and some of us are slightly more cautions than others. But we all have elements of bravery and we all have elements of caution.
What distinguishes each of us, one from another, is how our brain processes the subtle blend and interaction of the natural preference we have to each of the thousands of instincts and learnt behaviour patterns. This dictates how we respond to any particular situation we encounter.
Human Labelling Defining someone as "good" or "bad" is about as useful as defining a colour gradient as "black" or "white":
