Where groups of people provide help together, or where the help is provided for the general good, it is called charity.\n</p>\n<p>There are so many benefits of altruism/charity, it is a wonder why more of us do not do more of it. Altruism:\n   <ul><li>helps people survive, providing food, water, clothing, shelter or tending the ill\n   </li><li>delivers a greater quality of life, through material and moral support, know-how, protection of rights or human contact\n   </li><li>strengthens the quality of society with bonds of friendship and trust</li></ul>\n</p>\n<p>Additionally, altruism can be a strong cohesive force in society. It generates respect and admiration. Community is strengthened. Trust is strengthened.\n</p>\n<p>Charity is a positive form of \"people power\", with the decision to do charity being made by the individuals rather than the state.\n</p>\n<p>Altruism can provide hope to the suffering.\n</p>", "sources": "", "Feedback": "", "title": "Benefits of Altruism"}
